An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export silver box; an addition to our oriental silver collection. This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) box has a rectangular form. The surface of this Chinese box is embellished with a matte texture with a variety of embossed decorated water dwelling traditional Chinese crane style bird designs stagnant amidst stemmed foliate designs. The box is fitted with a hinged cover further embellished with embossed decoration identical to that of the body and incorporating a central circular vacant cartouche. The underside of the box is plain and unembellished. This impressive box retains the original gilded interior.
