Zee Sung Signed Chinese Export Antique Chased Silver Presentation Bowl & Stand

About the Item

This silver bowl was made by Zee Sung of China in approximately 1910 in the period Chinese Export style. The bowl is composed of silver with six stylized petal shaped panels done with ornate chased decoration depicting birds, flowers and bamboo. The bowl has a medallion on the front which has been engraved as a presentation bowl to an "A,M. Halley" by several of his Chinese colleagues wishing him a safe return trip home. The bowl comes with its original hand-carved pedestal stand. The bowl is clearly marked as "Silver" and with Zee Sung's maker's marks and measures approximately seven inches in diameter and four and a half inches high without the stand.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Some points of the pedestal have broken off, and wear to the bowl as presented in the photos, and consistent with age and use.
