Edward Lipski (UK, b. 1966) is an artist and sculptor known for successfully expressing uncomfortable places in the human psyche through super-real mannequins as well as cartoonlike figures.
This piece, entitled 'Girl 3', depicts a human child torso with its facial features covered in dark, upswept hair, seated on a down-filled pillow, encased in plexiglass. It is composed of fiberglass, horsehair, feathered pillow and plexi case on a wood platform base. Will be shipped in its original gallery crate. Provenance Alan Koppel Gallery, Chicago.
