Theodore Ernest Langguth Art
Theodore Ernest Langguth was born in Germany in 1861. He had a studio in Paris during the 1880s. In 1889, Langguth arrived in San Francisco, where he advertised as a portrait painter. In 1893, he joined the art department at the Examiner newspaper as an engraver and headed that department for 40 years. After the earthquake of 1906, he moved across the bay to Berkeley into a home at 101 Parkside Drive, where he remained until his death in 1952. Langguth exhibited at SF Newspaper Artists, 1903.
