A matched set of three ceiling mounted round fixtures by T. A. Greene for Feldman Lighting, circa 1965.
Brutalist design fabricated in Los Angeles by cutting brass and applying patination with an oxyacetylene torch.
Design is a ring around four spokes the hub of which is a bakelite socket cluster which holds four standard Edison screw CAP bulbs. The hub is suspended 2-1/2 inches from the original ceiling canopy. The outer band is applied with hand0-formed torch cut brass elements. The original white satin glass reflector conceals the lamping and is secured by its original coarse molten brass dripped finial embellishment.
Feldman labels in each canopy. UL Listed.
These were removed from the same house where they have hung since 1965.
These can also be suspended from a chain if preference is to use as a pendant. Height of fixture alone, without the canopy, from the hub, is 7 inches.
If requested it would be possible to connect the three fixtures together like a three-layer cake to make one really unique chandelier!
