This exceptional antique George V sterling silver bottle coaster has a plain cylindrical form to a domed spreading base. The body of the coaster is embellished with two broad shaped bands of pierced decoration, in addition to an applied moulded border to the undulating upper rim. This solid silver bottle coaster is fitted with two handles ornamented with bead ornamentation incorporating a floral motif to the center of each hand piece. An exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of antique Georgian English sterling silver bottle labels / tickets made by Hester Bateman; part of our wine related silverware collection. These exceptional and collectable George III sterling silver wine labels have a curvilinear ovoid-shaped form. These antique silver labels / tickets are ornamented with a bright cut engraved and pin struck scrolling designs accented with gadroon decorated scrolling leaf motifs paralleling the borders. The body of each label is engraved with the individual wine or spirit: 'Port' and 'Hock'. The upper portion of each label features a circular cartouche ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a demi-lion, holding between the paws a roundel. These Georgian silver bottle labels are suspended by two ring loops and connected by silver round link chains. These fine bottle labels, crafted by the renowned female London silversmith Hester Bateman.
