Exceptional three-piece vanity ensemble comprising a dressing table, monumental round mirror and matching stool, crafted by the Holland Furniture Company in the 1940s. The set is executed in beautifully figured ribbon Avodire, an exotic African hardwood prized for its luminous golden color and dramatic striped grain. The restrained architectural form is particularly striking, combining the refined materials and craftsmanship associated with late Art Deco with the clean, unornamented geometry that would define postwar American modernism.
