Avery Galleries was founded in 2001 by Richard Rossello, our principal, and Washburn Oberwager, who retired in 2012. After a career in the restaurant business, Richard, a lifelong art collector, began his new venture as an art dealer, guided by his entrepreneurial nature and business acumen. He aspired to open the type of art gallery that he, as a client, would want to acquire art from. In 2002, our long-standing director and senior partner, Nicole Amoroso joined Richard.
