Brian Adgate is a Boston-area painter whose work explores the landscape through semi-abstract relationships of color, form, light, and texture. Drawing from decades of travel and observation, his paintings interpret rather than reproduce the natural world, balancing carefully considered structure with an intuitive, improvisational approach to painting. Brian earned his BFA from the New York Institute of Technology and his MFA from the University of Wisconsin.
