Using a process that has been passed down from generation to generation of weavers for centuries, our artisans translate their design blueprints into the ancient language of Taalim. Much like sheet music shows musicians which notes to play, Taalim shows weavers which knots to tie, how large, and in what colors--for every single knot in a rug.
Weaving is a communal process that usually involves the whole family. Here, our artisans inspect a completed rug to make sure every single knot is perfect. It takes many hands, but our attention to detail and commitment to quality is what makes each Solo rug so special.
