About Stephen McKay Studio
Stephen McKay (1951-2025) approached lighting design through the lens of modernist balance and enduring form. His Assemblage collection is made up of one-of-a-kind lighting fixtures that incorporate reclaimed materials — upcycled brass parts, turned wood, vintage ceramics, salvaged glass globes, natural elements — preserving their history, provenance and patina as integral to the finished piece. Each work was individually made, resulting in soulful designs that feel both of-the-moment and timeless.
