After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs.
