Opulent, antique display case for a pocket watch from the Victorian era is a work of art! Round beveled glass door is hinged on the bottom. When opened, a tufted silk pillow with a hook slides forward to accept a pocket watch for safekeeping. Casket is mouth-blown, swirling opaline art glass with a hand painted 24 karat gold leaf motif. Intricate bamboo patterned and beaded twist gold metal frame with trinket tray features a pair of phoenix birds, high relief embossed grapevines, a pierced galley, cabriole legs with shields in front and splayed legs in back.
Measures approximately 7.75” high x 4.5" wide x 3.5" deep. Will hold a small to medium sized pocket watch. Pictured pocket watch is for display purposes only and is not included.
