This highly decorative pair of near life-size composition term statues of Greek God Atlas are an imposing mythological addition to a formal garden or interior. Traditionally, Atlas is depicted holding up the heavens, an eternal punishment bestowed on him for leading the Titan rebellion against Zeus, King of the Gods. However, in these composition adaptions, the Greek God Atlas carries an urn above his head. These can be planted with flowers and foliage or used simply as statuary. Made in the mid 20th century, each term statue is crafted from a blend of cement and fibreglass with some wear throughout that gives them a beautiful time-worn appeal.
