This is a magnificent antique French Kingwood and amboyna, ormolu-mounted cigar humidor, circa 1870 in date. This splendid humidor features an inset glass top engraved with a bouquet of flowers and an inset glass front beautifully engraved with an oriental landscaped with a Chinese figure smoking a pipe. The interior encloses three adjustable shelves fitted for cigars.. Ormolu griffin mounts frame the casket which sits on a scalloped base with ormolu griffin feet. Complete with original working lock and key. This humidor has a very stylish and timeless design which will please any connoisseur of cigars.
