This rare 1935 all-original decorative box was designed and produced by John Otar in California. The box features individual triangular brass and copper plates stacked to create a spectacular, twisting spiral form. It is signed on the bottom, inside and lid 'Otar USA'.
This is a significant piece of Mechanical Age functional design that is gaining increased appreciation by a wider public.
