Handcrafted wonderful chandelier with a great look and feel.
The amount of work that has gone into making this striking chandelier is almost unimaginable in this day and age. Before you can start to cast the individual pieces (and there are many on this chandelier), you have to first carve them out of wood or some other type of hard material. That alone will take weeks. From all the handcrafted parts that, together, will make this chandelier, you must then make molds. All the molds must then be filled with either, liquid brass, bronze or spelter. After that, all the surplus material from the castings must be removed and all pieces must be finished and gilt individually. Finally all pieces must be fitted together by drilling small holes and using small nuts and bolts (in those days also handcrafted). After reading this, you will understand why they don't make 'em like this anymore. . .it would cost a fortune.
