"Candle stands are molded like a classic breath-taking painting with garland berries in a wreath. Since ancient Greece, berries have symbolized affluence, wealth, and bountiful harvests. These ormolu candle stands have depicted a woman reaching her arms above her head as if praying to the gods to grant a bountiful harvest. Featuring a square pedestal design and four sturdy stands with a touch of Empire style, Consulat (1800-1815) in the 19th century. The Empire style respects minimalist, rustic, unobtrusive lines and features a square base to accentuate the character's soft curves.
