Cool vintage typewriter made in Wilhelmshaven, West-Germany in the 1960's by "Olympia Werke AG. This Olympia SM4 comes complete with its original carrying case. This Green Olympia SM4 typewriter is in excellent working condition, but comes with some dust and scuffs. See pictures for details. Olympia typewriters began in 1903 and were at one point regarded as the "Mercedes Benz of typewriters" showcasing the effects of solid German engineering. Under parent company AEG (European General Electric), Olympia started to produce some of the most technologically advanced typewriters of their time. In the 1930's Olympia secured itself in the public eye as a major player in the typewriter industry. They produced models such as the 8 series and the Progress. The company flourished until WWII when most of the production facilities and workers where lost during the war. After the war, facing Soviet oppression, several workers fled to West Germany and re-started the company this time as Olympia Werke. They were regarded by many as some of the best manual typewriters ever produced. The Olympia typewriters are solid, well-constructed machines perfect for the typewriter enthusiast who not only wants to own an aesthetically pleasing object, but who could put it through the rigors of use. These machines feature spring loaded keys, key set tabulators, correcting space bars and right hand margins. Some SM models even feature line space scaling for chemical and mathematical formulations as well as special characters for every profession or science. Very cool circa 1940s black Remington model 5 typewriter, with original carrying case. This typewriter works like a charm and types smooth without any hindering which is an indication of excellent craftsmanship. Another exceptional feet is the gorgeous look of the typewriter with waterfall like appearance. The glass keys, finished with metal rings are a great accent to this already awesome looking machine. As mentioned above, this Remington Rand Model 5 typewriter comes in its original wooden carrying case, which has a leather covering and a leather handle. The leather on the wood is worn with scuffs, discoloration and and markings as shown in the added pictures. This doesn't affect the functioning of the typewriter and adds to the overall cool antique...

1960s German industrial freestanding desk fan manufactured by AS Industrial. An incredibly well-made and fully functioning lamp which will help to keep you cool on those hot days. The propellor section can be moved from right to left and up and down to direct the air to where you require it to blow. The blades are made of rubber making it quite safe if you accidentally touch them when the lamp is turned on. The lamp sits on a chrome frame with five rubber rings to help stabilise it.
