From Italy, an exclusive 18th century Louis XVI carved and gilded table lectern, an antique spruce wood bookstand or music stand carved with scrolling motifs centered by a cherub head and painted in ivory color.
This antique reading bookstand is adjustable and the turning support allowing the lectern to be placed flat or at different angles, can tilt of about 45° on five different steps and can turn.
Italian origin, it comes from a private villa of Arezzo, Tuscany region. This antique table lectern is much more than a desk accessory, it will add an impressive, sacred atmosphere to any room. Rectangular shape resting on carved, curved legs ending with lovely open mouth animal feet, whereas back feet are just curled.
