Depicting a standing pose of an Irishman the Duke of Wellington in full uniform attire, holding a sword and standing on a magnificent, stepped platform with a ball foot at each corner. Condition: Good overall condition, with no restoration anywhere, professionally re-silvered by our restorers in London. Doorstop is constructed by bolting together in three areas, see image. This is an interesting and very unusual silver plated bronze bust of the famous four-faced Buddha. This history of this fascinating motif entails a fusion between the Hindu and Buddhist faiths.
