About the Item

Rare Victorian Taxidermy framed bull elephant ear (Licensed) This lot is a rare Victorian taxidermy ebonised mounted elephant ear. This item is very rare due to its subject matter, presentation and accompanying Cites Article 10 certificate. The framed artifact also has a brass stamp at its base which states (The Walls Have Ears). As stated this item is fully licensed by Cites and comes with an up to date EU Cites endangered species certificate. If you are based outside of the EU another license will need to applied for to export this item. We have never seen or had an item of such rarity or unusual subject matter in our store, the item is very well presented as shown in the photos provided. Although the ear itself is an antique, due to its professional and excellent presentation over the last years it has not lost color, detail or sections across the ear. In our opinion we see this as a piece of art as the message (The Walls Have Ears) makes this item quite special and highly collectable. A real one off, statement piece and wonderful curio, taxidermy talking point. Dimensions: H 50?x W 39? x D 1.5? Condition: This item is completely solid in structure and form. Aged wear and tear in the form of dryness across the ear is expected due to its age, Presented in a mint condition glass ebonised wooden frame. Please view all the photos (especially close ups) as part of this advert and ask questions in advance of purchase to avoid any confusion or disappointment.
