An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique George V English cast sterling silver table ornament modelled in the form of an Argyll and Sutherland Highlander made by Elkington & Co Ltd; an addition to our military related silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V English finely cast sterling silver table ornament have been realistically modelled in the form of an Argyll and Sutherland Highlander dressed in Scottish regimental officer's attire from the period of 1902-1914. The Highlander is habited in a uniform consisting of a service jacket with crossed sash and strap accented with a central emblem and two medals; these medals represent two Boer War medals. The soldier is dressed in a tartan kilt with decorative badger head sporran in addition to patterned knee length kilt socks with a turnover top and fabric bows, finished off with shin high boots.
