This simply can only be the work of a Swiss master carver, because to be able to create this much detail on a relatively small sculpture takes a god given talent and a lifetime of experience. With the anatomy, the posture AND the balance being perfectly correct, this work of art is simply devine. An experienced antique dealer once learned us that a great sculpture looks good from all angles and that certainly is the case with this striking cow. Some of the details are so intricate, you would think that it took a needle to carve them.
