Antique Bohemian Enamelled Glass Hookah Base, c. 1880–1910 Elegant late 19th-century Bohemian hookah (nargile) base in clear optic-ribbed glass, richly decorated with hand-painted polychrome enamel floral sprays and scrolling gilt ornament. The bulbous body rises to a tall flared neck, while the underside features a finely cut starburst design, demonstrating the quality of its manufacture. Produced for the flourishing export trade to Ottoman and Middle Eastern markets, this example combines the vibrant enamel decoration and refined glass working for which Bohemian workshops were renowned during the period. The delicate floral motifs remain bright and attractive, complemented by original gilding around the top foot and decorative borders. A striking decorative object in its own right, the piece also represents an increasingly sought-after category of 19th-century Islamic-market export glass. A beautiful French Art Nouveau glass footed vase by Daum Nancy, dating to circa 1900. The piece has a wonderfully rounded, almost bowl-like body raised on a short stem and circular foot, giving it an elegant and particularly well-balanced silhouette. The glass displays an extraordinary palette of shifting blue and green tones. Depending on the direction and intensity of the light, the surface can appear predominantly turquoise blue, aqua, soft green or even vivid emerald, while deeper cobalt-blue accents define the foot and the landscape decoration around the lower body. The interior is equally striking, revealing a mottled composition of luminous greens and blues that gives the glass remarkable visual depth. Pair of monumental Italian Murano glass presentation urn vases crafted during the nineteen seventies showcases classical antiquity and archaeological revival design by renowned furnace Seguso Vetri d'Arte. Handcrafted in Italy, each matching standing vessel features a wide, amphora-form glass body with a rounded conical lower bowl, broad swelling shoulders, and a wide-mouth aperture framed by an everted disc rim. Each vase is suspended within a custom-fitted tripod tripod base of verdigris-patinated wrought bronze or brass with scroll-footed cabriole legs, evoking ancient Greco-Roman ceremonial cauldrons and brazier urns. Master glassmakers at Seguso mouth-blew and assembled each glass body freehand at the furnace (a mano volante), executing the vessels in an opaque, frost-white textured glass finish reminiscent of the firm's celebrated scavo or heavy acid-etched corroso treatments.
