An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare pair of antique Georgian English sterling silver serving tongs; an addition to our silver flatware collection These exceptional antique George III Irish sterling silver serving tongs have a plain undulating form. The surface of the tongs are embellished with a paralleling undulating and wrigglework decorated border. The bridge of the tongs are further embellished with the bridge a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a unicon's head below a coronet. The pinching action of the tongs is guided to the medial point with a rectangular brace ornamented with engraved bud festoon designs to either side.
