The Shelley Light, by Jakob Uhlin for By Republiken is artisanally made of recycled plastic. The triangular components constituting the pendant lamp create a captivating and faceted appearance, offering an intriguing visual impression. The lamp's three openings add a compelling three-dimensional aspect to its design. Light diffuses uniquely from various angles, providing a dynamic illumination experience. An inner shade, crafted from the same triangular building pieces, shields the light source. Our process involves collecting used household containers made of polypropylene plastics, commonly used for food containers. After thorough washing, a hand-driven punch is employed to meticulously cut out the triangular building pieces from these recycled plastic containers. This sustainable process gives new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. Every lamp sculpture is unique because each one features different images on their inside. LIGHTING COMPATIBILITY: This light sculpture is fitted with an E27 socket, which is fully compatible with E26 bulbs commonly used in North America. LIGHTING RECOMMENDATION: For optimal versatility, we recommend a high-quality smart bulb such as LIFX or Philips Hue, allowing you to adjust both color temperature and brightness. Alternatively, a standard LED bulb in the 2500K–3200K range will provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. One of a kind hand knotted macramé suspension lamp 'uchiwa' inspired, Spain, 1970s. This chandelier has a stunning design with a construction inspired in the Uchiwa ceiling lamp from Ingo Maurer. The lamp consists of six discs made of hand knotted macramé acrylic cord in beige and brown colors. These discs are inspired in Uchiwa, a Japanese traditional fan. They are displayed around a wooden structure that holds a central bulb holder. Each of them have a stem that can be adjusted in length and they have a swivel system to place them in different positions so the chandelier can change the appearance rotating these pieces and adjusting them up or down. The pendant hangs from a chain with rattan rings ended by a wooden canopy and the length of the chain could be shortened to the desired height. This hanging light would be a nice Bohemian midcentury addition placed over a kitchen's table or a dining area in a beach house, country house or urban apartment.
