Dining chair, stained oak, brass, iron, France, 1960s Characteristic French dining chair from the 1960s. In the absence of decoration, the rounded opening in the backrest takes on a strong visual role, contrasting with the sharp, angular lines of the frame and seat. A notable feature is the flared legs, which emphasize the chair’s overall sturdy design. Six round brass joints secure the backrest to the frame. Fully executed in stained oak, this chair presents a rustic yet honest appearance.
