Sculptural Lounge Chair in Solid Oak 1940s

About the Item

Sculptural Lounge Chair in Solid Oak, Europe, 1940s. Truly wonderful large lounge chair in solid oak with a very distinct sculptural design. As an early mid century modernist piece with art deco charm, this chair is one of the best designs we have seen around. It is robust and solid looking, but curvy and sculptural at the same time due to the flowing carved lines on the oak frame. A simple but very interesting design. The cushions and back panel has been upholstered in a very distinct art deco fabric with oriental hints. The pointy cushions have a very cosy and comfortable quality and the fabric used is of a high quality. However, the cushions can be reupholstered to give the chair a different look if requested. About ORNAMENTUM ORNAMENTUM - where we find perfection in imperfection, love a good patina and are always on the lookout for wonderful and unique pieces both vintage and antique. We are based in Belgium near the Dutch border.
