By American Leather, Vladimir Kagan
Located in Los Angeles, CA
This spectacular example of Vladimir Kagan design was produced by American Leather for a short time during the early to mid 2000's, in its original brown Alcantara Ultrasuede, signed underneath with original American Leather label. Modeled after the early Kagan-Dreyfuss 'Serpentine sofa, the later 'Shorty' sofa by Vladimir Kagan Designs and the 1980s Directional 'Cloud' sofa, this 'Zoe' sofa by American Leather encapsulates all the organic form and shape as the earlier examples but with a slight modern twist.
The color of the soft alcantara ultra suede fabric is a warm brown with slight orange undertones. In lower light settings this will show as medium brown. But in brighter light settings such as our photography lights or in sunlight coming through a window - it will show a bit more of its amber hues giving a color of warm caramel brown.
*Note, if you are looking for a pair and are open to reupholstery contact us for details. We have another sofa in a different fabric and both sofas can be reupholstered to the same fabric if you are looking for a matched pair. We also have a pair in reupholstered white boucle.
These Vladimir Kagan cloud sofas are so popular today with interior designers and collectors - the demand for Kagan's designs keep growing year after year. There is something timeless about the shape and silhouette of this couch and the comfort level is through the roof.
