About the Item
Large Sculptural Sofa, “Misfits” is a modular seating system composed of multiple sculptural and organically shaped elements. Each module, unique in its form, appears to be sculpted from the material itself. This interplay of volumes explores positive and negative space through fluid, sinuous lines, evoking a sense of movement while ensuring optimal comfort.
Self-supporting and entirely made of foam, Misfits consists of five large modules—three with a backrest and two poufs—allowing for endless configurations or standalone use.
Its generous and flexible shapes create seating that is both bold and inviting. The modules are crafted from injected fire-retardant polyurethane foam, reinforced with an internal steel frame. The structure rests on black polypropylene screw-in feet, ensuring stability and durability.

Ron Arad
Ron Arad was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1951 and studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Art (1971–73) and the Architectural Association in London (1974–79). In 1989, he and Caroline Thorman founded Ron Arad Associates. Arad has exhibited at many major museums and galleries throughout the world and his work is considered definitive within public collections of contemporary design, including those at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; Metropolitan Museum of Art, N.Y; Victoria & Albert Museum, London and the Vitra Design Museum, among many others.
