Initially designed in 2019, the Tri-Color Chair is a labor of love. It comes from the artists' deep appreciation for post-modernism, attention to detail, love of color, and study of composition. Inspired by public furniture like bike racks and subway interiors, the artist uses Tri-Color Chair to question why it is that the language of home interiors is mostly wooden, square, and of muted tone, when the furnishings of the urban world get to be simultaneously playful and colorful and hyper-functional - waterproof, child-proof, theft-proof, weather-proof, highly visible, and easily maintained. The artist brings the forms found in the urban outdoors into the home to create a piece brimming with a palpable joy.
Tri-Color was honored as a runner-up in the seating category at the Isola Design Awards at Milan Design Week, and this edition features a new, autumnal colorway.
