Product Malibu Round Couch is an elegant and inviting sofa created by Dooq. The curvaceous profile of the sofa is an homage to the golden age of mid-century design and organic architecture, its generous seat and welcoming arms provide an irresistibly warm embrace. The defining detail of the Malibu round couch is the fabric piping which surrounds the side and back like a belt around a skirt, accentuating its shape and providing a hint of sensuousness. The Malibu round couch is a comfortable and luxurious addition to living rooms, bedrooms, reception areas and hotel rooms, well suited for use in both residential and commercial spaces. Collection The Malibu Collection includes an armchair, a pouf and various sofas, rectangular and round shaped. The round couch is available in two widths: 200 cm and 240 cm. Designer Dooq Brand Born in Portugal, Dooq is dedicated to stimulating the senses. Its luxurious designs are inspired by the unexpected meeting of opposites: feminine and masculine, small and large, soft and solid and where the past meets the present. Highly skilled craftsmen combine sensual materials like velvet, trimmings, straw and glass with harder materials such as copper, marble, brass and wood to create a sumptuous and elegant collection which crosses the boundary between art and design. Design Year 2020 Dooq is a design company dedicated to celebrate the luxury of living. Creating designs that stimulate the senses, whose conceptual approach is inspired on the unexpected meeting of opposite things. Our studio focuses on an extensive research of details together with a vast iconographic research around art and design, creating an ever-evolving language that emphasises first the small things. We seek to find balance in things that are contrasting, creating pieces where feminine meets masculine, small meets large, soft meets solid and past meets the present allowing the new to blossom. Sensual materials like velvet, trimmings, straw and glass are combined with harder materials such as copper, marble, brass and wood to achieve the duality in our studio's distinctive pieces. Using the technological expertise of a country leader in craftsmanship in combination with the creativity of great designers, helps creating pieces with an uncensored aesthetic where each piece has its own reason of existing. Dooq is pursuing elegance with audacity and devotion, crossing the boundaries between art and design.
