Studio La Cube Simmis Stool, 2015 Stool Walnut/Chesnut, iron Measures: 45 x 25 x 25 cm On demand with signed certification 2015 Spain Studio La Cube is an art-design studio located in the center of Madrid. The studio is run by the Italian designer Stefano Fusani and the Spanish art historian Clara Hernandez, who have united their different experiences and personal perspectives about art and design. Stefano Fusani is an artist and designer based in Madrid. He studied industrial design at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) and has worked in different renowned design studios such as Lavernia y Cienfuegos, Álvaro Catalán de Ocón and Kike Keller. His aim is to explore the relations between the different disciplines in where he works, focusing his ideas in the nature of the materials and their qualities. Clara Hernández is historian and master in contemporary history and in art history, and is currently doing her PhD in Fine Arts in Complutense University of Madrid. She has developed part of her research at the New York University and at Universität der Künste Berlin. Her thesis is focused on the role of the artist in the modern times and the part of the artist teacher in the contemporary society. Together they founded Studio La Cube in 2015, an art and design studio in where to explore and to work with different disciplines, methodologies and resources. The studio was created with the idea to make a work space in which to construct and deconstruct the form of everyday objects. Their vision is to maintain a strong link between their context, their space and the materials they work with and research about the perception of their qualities depending on the different applications.
