The collection is composed of three works that explore the relationship between two elements, a solid mass of reclaimed wood, with its imperfect and discontinuous material, and finely worked layers of compact wood that recreate geometries through their interweaving colour, that alter the original volume of the matter.
THE GALLERY
Secondome is a Design Gallery focused on contemporary designers and innovative projects worldwide.
Founded by Claudia Pignatale in 2006, Secondome produces its own collection of Furniture and objects working to launch experimental designers, artisans and master craftsmen. Its mission lies in highlighting both the high quality manufacture of the Made in Italy brand and the originality of products, emphasizing the tradition of Italian craftsmanship whilst breaking the mold of lifeless objets d’art.
The artisanal nature of Secondome’s production makes each piece individual and highly personalized.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The Gallery stool. A sculptural modern organic side table/stool turned from a solid block of macrocarpa (Monterey Cypress). The wood is finished with a hand rubbed, low V.O.C., natural plant oils to bring the stunning grain to life.
The macrocarpa wood will continue to dry out as it finds its equilibrium moisture content of its new environment. Further movement and splits should be expected, and this is part of the wabi-sabi design of the Gallery side tables.
