About the Item
Very fine 18th century Rococo carved and giltwood console table with lobed shell and foliate carving in lovely old surface stripped down to the original gilding, having crisp carving and very fluid design, the later shaped marble top over scroll and diaper patterned apron having a central pierced cabochon, supported by scrolled legs having shell and rocaille carving, joined by arched stretcher having decoration that echos the apron, the whole a having well executed and fluid design.
