About the Item

Monumental solid soapstone tea table with five matching stools, imported from China in the 1980s. Each piece is hand-carved from massive blocks of deep green stone, giving it a presence that’s both sculptural and elemental. The organic forms are so heavy they appear to defy gravity, and the original red quarry tag is still intact — a rare survival that underscores authenticity. Originally designed as an outdoor tea table, this set transitions seamlessly indoors as a statement centerpiece. The soapstone’s veining and texture catch light beautifully, bringing a sense of natural architecture into any space. Perfect for collectors, designers, or anyone seeking a showstopping piece that functions as both art and furniture. A rare opportunity to own a complete set of this scale, material, and integrity. Table: L59 × W39 × H19 Stools roughly: L17 W9 H12 (x3), L19 W9 H12 (x1), L12 W12 H12 (x1) Could also be a spectacular coffee table and pedestals.
