Presenting an exceptional example of Danish Modern design: a rare and highly collectible extendable dining table by renowned designer Poul H. Poulsen. Crafted in solid and veneered teak, prized for its rich, expressive grain, this table showcases a breathtaking tabletop inlaid with hand-painted ceramic tiles featuring bold geometric motifs—each one a miniature work of art.
One of the tiles is signed.
With its thoughtful design and two easily removable extension leaves, this versatile table can accommodate intimate dinners or expand to seat up to twelve guests. The ingenious engineering combined with artistic flair makes this piece the embodiment of functional art.
About the Designer:
Poul H. Poulsen was a Danish designer, painter, and ceramic artist known for his collaboration with Gangsø Møbler in Faarvang, Denmark. He began his artistic journey at Faaborg Pottery (1976–1978), where he designed unique pottery pieces before expanding his practice to include ceramic tiles, carvings, paintings, prints, and graphic artworks. His distinctive geometric ceramic designs became a signature of his style and are now highly sought after.

This table remains in original vintage condition and has aged beautifully. The teak frame (solid and veneered) shows only minor surface scratches consistent with age and use. The woodgrain presents exceptionally well, particularly in natural light.
The ceramic tile top is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or missing pieces. Both extension leaves slide smoothly into position and can be removed in seconds for added flexibility.
Structurally sound and highly functional, this table is ready to provide decades more of beauty and use.
