A finely made English Georgian later silver mounted black basalt teapot decorated with classical winged cherub designs to either side and dating from around 1810. The teapot has a decagon shaped body with a large raised loop pouring handle with thumb rest and with a straight angled spout mounted with a silver end. The teapot has a raised castellated rim molded in low relief with leaf patterning repeated to the panels forming the body of the teapot with either side with a low relief winged cherub design one with an arrow and pedestal and the other leaning against a tree.
