About the Item

An oak drop leaf country table on tapering legs connected by plain H-stretchers. The plank top is cleated at each end. The apron is fitted with a drawer at each end. The brass knobs are likely replacements. Built of extraordinarily dense timber, this table is surprisingly heavy. Each leaf is supported by two hinged "wings" affixed to the long rails. There is a molded bead to the outside edge of the legs as well as around the drawer fronts and along the edges of the stretchers. Retaining an exceptional color and patina, this table is very versatile and convenient for dining with plenty of leg room along its length especially. With the leaves down, the table is 29.25" wide.
