About the Item
A truly eye-catching original gold-plated metal coffee table. Fashioned in the shape of a wheat sheaf bound by string and a perfect round glass top embossed in a golden metal rim. This table is a really old piece in original shape with the perfect height to be used as a wine table or side table and conjures images of high-style and high-fashion, in true Hollywood Regency manner. Produced in Italy, circa 1950s. Historically, Salvador Dali gave Coco Chanel a similar table for her Paris apartment on Rue Cambon.
