An aesthetic and symbolic connection with Tamara de Lempicka's “Les Deux Amies” (1923), transposing the geometric sensuality and plastic sophistication of the Polish artist, an icon of the Art Deco movement, into three-dimensional form. Her unmistakable signature is a blend of the modernity of a triumphant industrial society with luxury and sensuality.
The piece evokes the juxtaposition of the female bodies depicted in the painting. The smooth, precise shapes recall the artist's characteristic Art Deco style, while the palette of earthy, metallic and deep tones reinterprets the intimate, elegant and muted atmosphere of the work.
