The Netherlands produced expertly crafted Georgian era inspired jewellery right up until the 1950’s - and this bracelet is a fine example of this unique trend. The articulated bracelet is set with three floral clusters of dazzlingly bright white rose cut diamonds set in closed-back and crimpled collet silver mountings, following closely traditional Georgian gemstone setting techniques. The diamonds are also foil-backed, an early method of gem setting which adds brilliance and the illusion of greater depth. The triangular facets of rose cut diamonds were preferred in the Georgian era as they allowed the stones to glisten more beautifully in candlelight.
