He was one of the most esteemed mosaic artists of all time. In 1851 he won a gold medal at the 'Great Exhibition' of London for his micro-mosaic work. Among his best known works are Spaniel after Aguatti and Flight to Egypt. Moglia's works can be seen in the Royal Collection Trust, Cincinnati Museum of Art and the Hermitage, St. Petersburg.
