Striking and beautiful hinged compact. Black enamel with a luminous enamel iris outlined in gold leaf. Inside, there is a mirror and a reticulated sifter that spins to open. Gilt metal. Unique square shape. 2 1/8" x 2 1/8." Exceptional. Interesting fusion of art nouveau and art deco.
