The prongs and frame are in 18 karat yellow gold to accentuate the stone's pale yellow hue; the strong yellow of the frame also creates interesting transitional contrast with the bright white of the halo diamonds. The undergirding and band are in brushed satin platinum -- muting the shine helps delineate the individual stones and their bright white sparkle. The overall effect is a graceful white-to-yellow spectrum -- the considered product of a jeweler's homage to the beautiful pale hue of this gorgeous stone.
