An impressive 18 karat yellow gold signet ring, ornamented with a hidden enamel compartment; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections.
This fine and impressive signet ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold.
The rounded edged, square shaped anterior face of this antique signet ring is embellished with the engraved initials 'RW'.
The anterior face has a hinged, push fit concealed compartment, which lifts to reveal an impressive painted enamel portrait of a ladies profile, wearing characteristic period clothing.
The flared, elevated ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank.
The ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18k gold mark (18), the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor) and the maker's mark for Charles Green & Sons (CG&S).
