A very attractive French gilt bronze and ceramic mantel clock, profusely decorated with floral swags, flowers, ribbons, birds and masks and surmounted by a ceramic and bronze baroque style urn swathed in fruit and flowers. The original gilding in in extremely good condition with only very minor wear commensurate with age. The Chinoiserie themed enamelled porcelain plaques depict courtly scenes with a lady attended by her maidservants, an old man in a golden kimono, large-crowned chrysanthemums and birds.
