19th Century Persian Kashan “Tree of Life” Area Rug in Ivory, Brick Red, Navy
Located in Barrington, IL
The 19th century Persian Kashan library rug with a Vase “Tree of Life” design with birds on branches elevating towards the heavens. The field is a very rare and desirable ivory color. The gorgeous border is in a rust red color with the birds design throughout the border. The rug is so finely woven and a very short pile and it feels like a fine textile than a hand-woven rug; It would be and would be great as a tapestry wall art or displayed on the floor. The Kashan “library” rug was woven in an artisan workshop in Kashan and is similar to the rugs from the workshop of master Mohtashem. Having a unique size and design in addition to the rare ivory color field and being woven in one of the best workshops make this truly a woven masterpiece to admire and enjoy.
