An iconic Italian Space Age vanity set, the “Silvi” dressing table and matching chair were designed by Studio Kastilia and produced by Fanini Fain S.P.A. in Italy during the 1970s. With its futuristic silhouette, sculptural curves, and distinctive cream-colored finish, this set captures the bold, experimental spirit of Italian design during the Space Age era.
The vanity features a rounded, molded body with a recessed tabletop and an integrated oval mirror supported by an elegant raised frame. Its smooth, continuous surfaces and compact proportions create a striking yet functional design. The matching chair echoes the vanity’s curved form, with a sculptural cream-colored shell and contrasting black upholstered seat. Both pieces rest on small castors, adding mobility and emphasizing the set’s forward-thinking, functional character.
